Where: City Hall, 7232 East Main Street

What: Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Come kick off the holiday season at City Hall. The 2018 Tree Lighting ceremony will be a fun time for the whole family. Bring your best smiles and get a family picture in Santa's sleigh that was donated to the City by Brad McCloud, Mayor, Jed Hood, City Attorney, Stephen Cicak, City Auditor and Barth Cotner. The event will feature a giant snow globe, visits from the Grinch and Olaf, cookie decorating, carolers from Taylor Road and French Run Elementary, the tree lighting and Santa arriving by . . . fire truck!

Be sure to stop inside City Hall and see all the entries for the Gingerbread decorating contest. For questions about how to enter the contest contact Jennifer Clemens, the special events coordinator at

We would like to thank our event sponsor Heartland Bank for always supporting our community. The City would also like to thank other contributors to the event: Tyler's Bakery, Mr. Tree Farms, and Janet Benedict, choir teacher. Mrs. Benedict will be retiring this year and has always been a special part of this event.
