City of Reynoldsburg Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: May 1, 2020

The City of Reynoldsburg is committed to providing updates related to COVID-19 management. The City website is always the most up-to-date source of information.

CITY HALL

  • City employees will return to work on May 4, 2020. Guidelines include temperature monitoring, hand washing, sanitizer, face-masks are strongly recommended, six-foot distancing at all times, remote meetings, and workstation cleaning.
  • City Hall will remain closed until June 1, 2020 with limited access starting May 4, 2020. The Building Department will be accessible from the foyer area entrance. We will be limiting entry to one person at a time within the Building Department office. On Tuesday and Thursday only the Clerk of Courts will be open for scheduled court appearances. A Police Officer will check people in at the door
  • City Hall will be locked down starting May 4th, 2020 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 AM restricting access to the drop box located inside the foyer area. 

 

BUILDING DEPARTMENT

  • Both the Water Department and Building Department will be working normal business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) starting Monday May 4th, 2020, however they will only be in the office (City Hall) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 
  • The Building Department WILL NOT be accepting walk ins at this time. 
  • The Building Department will be allow for scheduled appointments that relate to permits, plan submittals and registrations. We will be accepting payment by check, money order or credit card ONLY (NO CASH PAYMENTS).
  • Exterior Inspections will be performed as normal, while interior inspections will be performed as needed while complying with all current COVID-19 rules and regulations.

     

    MAYORS COURT

  • Mayor’s Court will reopen on Thursday, May 7, 2020. The Clerk of Court and the City Attorney have worked diligently to reduce the case load for Mayor’s Court to minimize the number of people required to come to City Hall on days Mayor’s Court is in session.
  • City employees who work on the first floor of City Hall will be working from home on court days.
  • Social distancing will be mandated inside City Hall and marked accordingly.
  • Prosecutors will meet with Defendants and their attorneys with a glass barrier in between to avoid unnecessary exposure.
  • No more than 10 people scheduled for Court will be permitted in City Hall at any one time. All others will check in with a police officer outside City Hall, providing your telephone number to be called when it is your turn to meet with a prosecutor.
  • Anyone entering City Hall will be required to wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you before you enter. If you have any symptoms related to COVID-19, such as coughing or fever, please contact the Clerk of Court and a continuance will be granted.

SENIOR CENTER

  • The Senior Center will remain closed until further notice.

    WATER DEPARTMENT

  • Both the Water Department and Building Department will be working normal business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) starting Monday May 4, 2020, however they will only be in the office (City Hall) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • The Water Department WILL NOT be accepting walk in payments, or appointments at this time. All payments must be made either through one of the City’s drop box locations at City Hall, online through the City’s website, pay by phone at 1-844-818-3299 or by standard mail. *Please note that the drop box located in City Hall will only be accessible during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM.
  • Field staff will not be entering any properties to repair meters, or transmitters until June 1, 2020.
  • All late fees, and turn offs pertaining to nonpayment will be suspended until June 1, 2020.
