Lieutenant of Administration
Supervises administrative activities such as; approves leave requests/time sheets, interviews candidates, schedules staff/assigns work, recommends discipline, appointments, promotions, demotions, suspensions, and approves training requests, conducts performance evaluations, determines training requirements, posts duty schedule, conducts staff meetings. As well as supervising the operation of the department. This includes ensuring that equipment is used properly and adequate personnel is available to cover shifts; plans police/ traffic arrangements for special events such as 4th of July, parades, visits by dignitaries.
Lieutenant Ron Wright Lieutenant Ron Wright started with the Reynoldsburg Division of Police as a volunteer reserve police officer in December 1993. He was hired into a full time patrol officer position in January 1995. LT Wright served as a patrol officer for six years, a detective for six years, and patrol sergeant for five years before reaching the rank of lieutenant. LT Wright serves as the SWAT Team Commander and has been a SWAT officer for over 15 years. He is also one of the trainers and firearms instructors on the departmental training team. LT Wright recently retired from the United States Army Reserve after serving for over 27 years. While in the Army, LT Wright carried the rank of Sergeant Major and his final duty was service as the Operations Sergeant Major for an Airborne Civil Affairs Battalion. He served two tours in Afghanistan and one tour during Operation Desert Storm.
